 My cover for William Shatner's mission into space aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard spacecraft. The cancel is an unofficial postmark that I created as a proposal to Canada Post to create a Canadian counterpart of the U.S. Mailer's Postmark Permit (In the U.S., MPP holders can cancel their own mail with their own postmarks). 

Shatner has worked in Toronto before, especially in the CBC in his young years, but the city has no relationship to Blue Origin. In an (admittedly tenuous) attempt to link the postmark to the cover's theme, I added a line that this year is the 45th anniversary of Toronto Star Trek '76, the first large Canadian Star Trek convention, at the Royal York Hotel (although Shatner wasn't there).
