On June 16, 1963, the Vostok 6 spacecraft was launched from Baikonour.
For the first time in the history of space conquest, a woman is on board, the Soviet Valentina Vladimirovna Terechkova. The vessel Vostok 6 will make an appointment with Vostok 5 (Valery Bykovsky, launched on June 14, 1963), approaching 5 km. It will remain in orbit for 2 days 22 hours 50 minutes for 48 Earth orbits and return to Earth on June 19, 1963.
